ADVENTURE – Backside Series

Because the lines between frontside/backside skis is blurring more every year, all of the skis listed below are also found in the alpine section of the buyer’s guide. For more information on how K2 defines rocker profile, refer to the alpine section.

Lightweight Aspen and Paulownia wood cores are 15% lighter than those in the all-mountain series. Except for Pontoon, all backside skis have flat, notched tails for practicality in the backcountry and to allow climbing skins to stay secure and centered. All skis come with tip and tail holes for the K2 patented climbing skins with the unique glide patch at the tip. Also, except for Pontoon, all skis come with tip and tail holes for climbing skins. A bonus technology this year is Snowphobic topsheets that repel snow to prevent it from building up on top of the ski, adding weight. All skis in this category are offered “flat” which is to say a binding needs to be mounted before you can go skiing.
