4FRNT Skis
Matt Sterbenz wanted a better freeride ski so he decided to build his own. That was back in 2002 and now with a team of riders/owners 4FRNT strives to make the best skis with the best materials. As one of the first rider/owner business models in the ski industry, 4FRNT team riders are directly involved in the design and testing of their skis.
A new “Semi Cap” construction is featured on some skis this year in which the topsheet only wraps part way down the ski to meet a partial sidewall.
4FRNT also distinguishes between “rocker” and “early rise.” Rocker is a tip or tail radius that starts further along the ski than a normal tip. Early rise is a relaxation of the camber so the tip or tail of the ski rise up causing pressure and snow contact to move closer to the center.
