DALBELLO SKI BOOTS

Dalbello says it is the world’s only independent ski boot producer. The Italian family business has been going since 1974. The boot range has two distinct types, 3-piece (Cabrio) and conventional 2-piece overlap (Axion).

The Cabrio design is a rigid open-top lower shell with a hinged cuff and a separate plastic tongue that closes the boot and regulates flex similar to what the old Raichle Flexon used to do. Comparisons to that old design are inevitable but Dalbello points out that they have made so many improvements to that concept that true comparison is not valid.
