LANGE Ski Boots
Lange is to ski boots what the Model T Ford is to automobiles. The long history of Lange boots at the highest levels of competition has no equal. Now Lange offers a complete range of boots including women’s models to complete the range from beginner to World Cup racer.
A boot last refers to the 3-D shape the shell is formed on. Usually a width in mm is given to indicate how wide the last is at the widest point — across the metatarsals of the foot. Crushingly tight competition models are usually in the low 90’s, comfortable less precise fitting models are over 100mm in width.
This year Lange has added a new 102mm last in the Sport/Performance category as well as a buckle mechanism called Climbmatic in the new Blaster series of on-trail sport boots. Opening the buckle enables a walk mode and closing the buckle automatically locks the cuff into skiing position.

This is a new range of boots developed from an empirical study of feet using a Foot Scan device. Lange says the new shells fit the shape of a foot perfectly. They all use the new 102mm last width.
