THE FACTION COLLECTIVE

The Faction Collective is a rider-centric company based in Verbier, Switzerland. Its product line of freeride and freesyle skis are built in the European Alps.

In keeping with the trend towards rocker shapes, Faction has developed a system of combining traditional camber with various amounts of tip and tail rocker to suit the mission.

But the big news at Faction is the announcement of a major development in ski design with its STP (Snake Transition Project) design. A wave pattern is pressed into the full length of the ski. Faction says the result is a ski that is 30% lighter with increased torsional strength. STP will be found on three models this year. All skis feature sandwich construction and full-length wood cores.
