GOODE Skis ... Carbon Innovation

Dave Goode (pronounced good), President and founder, started Goode Ski Technologies in 1975 at the age of 19. Today Goode is a worldwide leader in carbon fiber/composite fabrication and builds more carbon composite ski poles than all other companies combined. Goode water skis dominate water ski tournaments around the world. The first product was ski poles followed by water skis and finally snow skis.

Previous generations of Goode skis were composed of 100% Carbon fiber but a huge revision of Goode alpine skis has resulted in the biggest re-invention of any company line this year. A totally new collection of skis with new shapes and constructions that incorporate 3 versions of rocker as well as wood cores has created a lot of buzz in ski circles. By combining decades of Carbon Fiber experience with the performance advantages of wood, Goode says their new collection is still 30% to 50% lighter but better in a number of ways. In addition to new rocker profiles, the properties of Carbon makes the skis damp and soft but grippy. Backcountry skis have a special Hellraiser/Kevlar core for lightness.
