Liberty Skis

Liberty is a small ski company with a difference. Founded in 2003 and based in Avon, Colorado, it is a rider-based and owned company. Not only is all ski production and office needs wind-powered, all Liberty skis have hand-made bamboo cores. In fact Liberty has been manufacturing bamboo cores from day one. Bamboo is sustainable, light and tough. A custom-weave fiberglass fabric is used in wider models to provide the torsional stiffness needed for good performance.

Three rocker profiles are used:

  1. Stealth Rocker – gradual tip rocker with camber underfoot.
  2. Bomb Rocker – full tip and tail rocker with slight camber underfoot.
  3. Classic Camber – no rocker, traditional full camber profile.

Liberty doesn’t have a name for every ski. Each collection has a number of lengths with their own construction, dimensions (sometimes) and graphics. So they really are different skis but because the graphics are the same each family, not all lengths are shown.
