| NORDICA SKIS
Nordica was founded in 1939 and it launched its ski line in 1999. Nordica is part of the Tecnica Group that includes Blizzard and Tecnica as well as Nitro snowboards.
Nordica thinks all skis, rocker or not, need some amount of camber underfoot for the benefit of stability at speed and precision on packed snow. For that reason all its skis can be described in terms of some combination of camber and rocker. Hence the name CamRock.
Nordica worked with the Mechanical Engineering department at the University of Padova to develop the EDT (Efficient Dynamic Technology) found in the new versions of Spitfire skis. EDT is designed to conserve energy and increase power transmission. In practice this is achieved with a carbon alloy element attached at 4 points ahead of the binding.
