Rossignol Skis
As part of the revitalization of Rossignol, ski construction was completely reviewed. One of the most reliable ways to produce high-end skis is to mimic the construction of the proven World Cup competition skis. Consequently, in the 2010 Collection, 80% of the skis feature vertical sidewall, wood core sandwich construction.
RACE
In some brands, the skis in the racing category are de-tuned considerably for the public and in some cases they are the carving/frontside skis for groomed conditions. In the Rossignol race series, all “World Cup” skis are FIS compliant and are meant to be used on race courses by expert skiers. These skis are not trying to be all-mountain or versatile.

ALL-MOUNTAIN
The Zenith series has been replaced by the new Avenger line of 5 skis ranging from beginner/intermediate to expert. Two high-performance Classic skis are part of this collection. Avenger 82 Ti
82mm underfoot, 18.3 meter sidecut in 177 cm length. Available in 162, 170, 177, 182cm.

FREERIDE
Rossignol has combined its entire collection of backcountry skis into one category. The new Phantom line includes telemark, alpine touring and out-of-bounds skis. Rossignol sees it as an emerging super-category to satisfy backcountry enthusiasts that want versatile skis for all over the mountain and want to use the same binding setup on both sides of the ropes. As a result, all Phantom skis are sold “flat” (no integrated binding) and have a reinforced mounting area to accept telemark, AT or alpine bindings.

Phantom Pro RC 112 (New)
112mm underfoot, 34.7 meter sidecut in 188cm length. Available in 178, 188, 198cm.
This is a big ski for the steepest and deepest with a rockered shape to further enhance skiability in big mountain conditions. The reverse camber shape not only improves planing in deep snow, it also makes the ski more agile in gnarly conditions.

Phantom SC 97 (New)
96.5mm underfoot, 24.6 meter sidecut in 186cm length. Available in 170, 178, 186cm.
SC 97 epitomizes the go-anywhere ski that Rossignol is promoting in this category. It will feel equally at ease with AT bindings as it will with alpine gear.

Phantom SC 87 (New)
86.5mm underfoot, 17.6 meter sidecut in 186cm length. Available in 154, 162, 170, 178cm.
This ski is meant to fill the demand for a perfect freeride all-mountain ski that has the heart of a high performance carving machine with a freeride touch and feel. To meet the high performance demands of groomed carving, construction is two layers of Titanium sandwiched around a wood core.

Phantom SC 80
80mm underfoot, 17.2 meter sidecut in 185cm length. Available in 155, 160, 165, 170, 175, 180, 185cm.
With a huge length selection, Rossignol is expecting this model to satisfy a wide range of customers. Wood core sandwich with one layer of Titanium beef-up.

TWINS
Rossignol reveals the second year of SAS (Seven Artistic Sins) to showcase the new twintip collection. The concept is simple: seven skis, seven artists, and a mission to artistically express the Seven Deadly Sins. This year the same seven artists have been assigned different sins to interpret on their topsheets. If the model names seem a little illogical, they are the surnames of the artists.
This series takes advantage of Rossignol’s Amptek profile, a clever mix of camber and sidecut underfoot but a reverse camber and reverse sidecut at tip and tail. It’s a blend of a traditional on piste ski design with a rockered reverse sidecut big powder board. It sounds confusing but in our tests it worked just fine and that’s all that matters.

S7 BARRAS
115mm underfoot, 17.5 meter sidecut in 188cm length. Available in 166, 176, 188, 195cm.
Rossignol calls it the most revolutionary twintip to hit the backcountry. The Amptek profile and huge dimensions have created a formidable tool for big snow fanatics.
The sin? Pride.

S6 CABALLERO
110mm underfoot, 21.3 meter sidecut in 186cm length. Available in 174, 186cm.
The improved S6 is versatile and light. It’s aimed at backcountry jibbers that still go big on the frontside. Rossignol recommendation - 90% backcountry, 10% jib.
The sin? Anger.

S5 JAGO
98mm underfoot, 21.3 meter sidecut in 186cm length. Available in 171, 178, 185cm.
Rossignol calls Jago the king of New School all-mountain skis. Progressive sidecut and a special fiber layout in the core that concentrates strength under the foot without affecting ski flex make this one of the most versatile skis in the series. Rossignol recommendation - 50% backcountry, 50% jib.
The sin? Sloth.

S4 POMMIER
84mm underfoot, 21.4 meter sidecut in 181cm length. Available in 160, 167, 174, 181cm.
S4 is the Rossignol Team approved pro model for the park. It has enough shape to be fun on the groomed too but the park is where it’s at. Rossignol recommendation - 20% all mountain, 80% jib.

This is a new ski for 50% backcountry, 50% jib that is called a moderate price point model by Rossignol. It features the Amptek profile so it skis like a true twin on the groomed but slashes the powder like an S7.
The sin? Gluttony.

S2 HOWELL
92mm underfoot, 22.6 meter sidecut in 180cm length. Available in 140, 150, 160, 170, 180cm.
Think of S2 as the ultimate all-mountain ski for the park rider. Rossignol recommendation - 60% all mountain, 40% jib.
The sin? Lust.

S1 SQUINDO
80mm underfoot, 20 meter sidecut in 168cm length. Available in 138, 148, 158, 168cm.
This is aimed at all-mountain jibbers that want versatility. The short sizes indicate that Squindo is good for youngsters too but it still features a wood core for durability and solid feel. Rossignol recommendation - 80% all mountain, 20% jib.
The sin? Greed.

WOMEN’S SKIS
Rossignol has re-focused attention on women’s product to address the notion that strong women skiers felt they needed unisex skis to get the performance they wanted. This season has seen new focus on engineering the highest performance skis for women with the latest in materials and construction. Many new models make up this year’s collection.
