In 1947 Salomon opened his shop in Annecy to make saw blades. Salomon also saw another opportunity in supplying steel edges for the latest innovation in skis. Annecy is still the home of Salomon, now part of Amer Sports, the largest manufacturer of sporting goods in the world. Georges Salomon died this past year but the tradition of innovation and breaking new ground is alive and well at Salomon Sports.
In the spirit of innovation Salomon has introduced a revolutionary all mountain shape called BBR and the first rockered carving ski called X-Kart for this new season.
