STÖCKLI Skis
Stöckli may be the sole remaining Swiss ski manufacturer and after 75 years this family-owned ski maker still works out of its production facility at the foot of the Alps. The foundation of Stöckli performance is traditional sandwich race-proven construction and wood cores in most of its skis. Sandwich/sidewall construction has stood the test of time but it is a labor-intensive method that requires skilled workers to carefully build each ski from raw materials. “Swiss-made” is taken seriously at Stöckli.
Despite its traditional construction method, some important modifications are featured on some models.
P.I.T. technology means Polyamide Insert Technology in which a small section of a Titanal layer is precisely lasered out and replaced with a soft elastic insert. It reduces weight and alters ski torsional behavior.
Torsiotech is an extension of PIT technology. Small cavities are lasered out of the skis’ midsection and filled with fiberglass. This enables designers to tailor flex and torsional properties of the ski for smooth and precise turning.
Stockli skis do not have an integrated binding system so customers can mount the binding of their choice.
