Soft or loose snow is fun to ski in and made easy with two tricks:
- Narrow stance – keep feet close and try to balance the pressure more equally towards two footed skiing.
- Feet under the body – the resistance of loose snow requires that the feet continue moving forward to stay under or slightly ahead of the position for hard snow. This is a balance issue so try to avoid levering any direction off the boot cuff. If it works for you, think of pushing the skis through the snow with the soles of your feet.
