Peak Performance Ski Tip 11

Head Over Downhill Ski On Steep- by Martin Olson

There is nothing like a steep slope to reveal cracks in one’s technique.

This angle shows a useful cue to ensure that speed and attitude are controlled in the critical initiation phase of the turn.

Try to get the head out over the downhill ski as a cue to ensure weight is firmly on that ski and the torso is well placed to move forward down the hill, thereby avoiding the dreaded back-seat runaway position.
