Don’t be intimidated by moguls. Basic skiing skills are all that’s required to have fun in bumpy terrain. Look ahead and picture a round path that starts on the tops and skis around the bump.
The demonstrator shows how easy it is to avoid a rough ride in the bumps. In the moderate bumps pictured, the golden rule is: use the bump to start the turn and then ski around it. The red arrow shows the typical mistake of rushing the turn and then skidding down the steep side of the mogul. The green arrow shows the correct path that avoids the steep section and gives a smooth ride on the flatter, softer snow.
