Peak Performance Ski Tip 8

Quick Edge Change - by Martin Olson

It’s hard to overstate how important it is to edge modern skis.

Experts know this and waste no time on flat skis.

Notice how this demonstrator in frame #1 is already moving knees and ankles onto the new edges even though the turn has barely begun.

Less than half a second later the skis are tipped well onto their new edges so the skis can perform as they were designed.

As a general rule you can’t be too thin, too rich or too early on the edge.
